CSI EBO Presidents Message March 2017
Dear East Bay Oakland Chapter Members,
Our March meeting was a presentation by EBO member Christine Diosdado, Senior Project Manager with Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger speaking about the Investigation of Artificial Turf Fields for Athletic Play. Christine is passionate about her research on this subject and provided information on the history, engineering, manufacturing and installation of artificial turf. She discussed problems that occurred in several projects, why the fields failed and how the failures could have been prevented. Thanks to the CSI members who attended, and especially to the attendees from the landscaping design and construction industry.
